Robert Mroz oversees the strategic direction of the Maryland-based HY-TEK Bio, LLC.  Bob is the Founder and CEO of this dynamic company; he holds the pending patents that allow HY-TEK Bio to mitigate greenhouse gases, and he has advanced the company’s development with other complementary technologies.  Bob holds a BSEE from the University of Maryland and has spent 40 years developing and successfully managing large technology projects. Prior to starting HY-TEK Bio, Bob excelled in both the public and private sectors, first with a successful 30-year career with the FCC as its Director of Advanced Technologies before retiring in 1997, and then by creating and growing a performance-based sports software firm, HY-TEK Sports Software, with 59,000 Customers in 36 countries. 



Tim Shaw

Tim Shaw is President and serves as a member of the Executive Council. Tim is responsible for overseeing and delivering on all operational and financial activities worldwide.  Prior to joining HY-TEK Bio, Tim was an Executive Vice President with a California-based Energy Services Provider, where he drove business growth and helped develop new technologies while launching the firm’s east coast operations.  Tim was also a principal or advisor with three successful start-ups – a design firm focused on commercial and residential LED lighting and automation upgrades; a Washington, DC-based consulting practice that integrates process and sustainability improvements for government and private sector clients; and a creative marketing firm.  Tim also spent 25 years with UPS, most recently as its Government & Defense Sector Vice President. Tim earned an MBA from Loyola University in Maryland, and a BA from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.



Carolyn Mroz

Carolyn Mroz is Chief Financial Officer of HY-TEK Bio, and a member of the Executive Council.  As CFO, Carolyn oversees the company’s financial strategy, business support, analysis, audit, and tax functions. Prior to joining HTB, Carolyn served as the chairman of the American Banking Association's America's Community Banker Council, during which she represented the interests of hundreds of small banks throughout the U.S. Carolyn was President of Bay Vanguard Federal Savings Bank in Baltimore, MD, where she directed the management of more than $175M in assets while engaging in community and legislative affairs. Carolyn's dual expertise in financial and advocacy matters has been critical to advancing HY-TEK Bio.  Carolyn received her BA from the University of Maryland.



Paul Rosenberger

Paul is Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Council. He leads, develops and executes the company’s strategic operations.  He also oversees strategic planning and corporate partnerships.  He has over 25 years of experience in organizational management. As the chief operating officer of a mid-Atlantic financial services trade group, Paul served the needs of 145 affiliate institutions and approximately two million consumers in the areas of strategic business and organizational partnerships, governance, political advocacy, and training. Paul brings extensive knowledge in project management, corporate development, governmental and public relations. 



Gary Grudberg

Gary heads engineering and technology efforts and reports to HY-TEK Bio’s CEO Robert Mroz. Gary oversees the development and implementation of emerging technology strategies. Hehas run a successful environmental controls company – Creative Construction Services, Inc. – and he applies his expertise to HY-TEK Bio’s innovative technology by driving direction on engineering and operational improvements. As a licensed automation control contractor, Gary's relevant disciplines include design, programming, installation and servicing of DDC control systems. With 30 years of construction experience, Gary understands the importance of leadership in energy and environmental design, and integrates green and energy-efficient considerations throughout HY-TEK Bio’s design, development and operational phases.

Ken shares in the day-to-day oversight and support of the company’s various business operations and focuses on specific growth enablers, including key supply chain relationships, leadership initiatives, and company performance. Ken comes to HY-TEK Bio with over 25 years experience driving growth in national sales organizations within the Information Technology sector.  He has personally been involved in launching numerous early-stage start-ups in the IT space, and has applied to HY-TEK Bio his expertise in process improvement.  Ken’s diverse background managing all aspects of a corporation provides HY-TEK Bio with the leadership and innovative thinking to drive exponential success.  Ken holds a BS degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland.



Vince Scarfo

Vince provides direction for HY-TEK Bio’s brand, products, solutions and services worldwide, as well as business development. Vince joined HY-TEK Bio after launching three successful start-up businesses, two in the energy product space and the other a marketing and sales firm.  Vince was also an executive business leader with General Electric overseeing Government Relations and managing a P&L for GE Lighting.  He led FedEx’s U.S. Worldwide Government Services team for a number of years, and spent 22 years leading various functions at UPS.  Vince has a BA degree from Columbia Union College and completed his Masters of Science work in Marketing at Johns Hopkins University.



Andrew Straka

Andy is a certified electrician and certified welder, and an expert in fabrication in all materials. Andy’s broad expertise in all phases of plumbing, containment and marine construction (with a specialty in waterproofing), are critical to the operational efficiency of the mitigation process.
