HY-TEK Bio isn't just changing the equation in cost effective energy strategies.

With a completely natural process that absorbs a multitude of Green House gases while producing oxygen through photosynthesis, HY-TEK Bio is changing the game in reclaiming the environment.

Our technology is cost-effective and practical, but the elegance of the process is in the potential it supplies in the abatement of pollution. There are no negative effects in any phase of the HY-TEK Bio process and related technology.

HTB-1, the exclusive strain of algae used to mitigate a multitude of flue gases, is a naturally occurring plant indigenous to the Chesapeake Bay. It has not been genetically altered in any way. The strain can produce pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, thickeners for cosmetics and paints, food additives for human animal consumption, bioplastics, and biofuels. All of these products generate an environmentally friendly revenue source.

Portable Containment Units(PCUs) - HY-TEK Bio has produced an inexpensive and portable alternative to costly stainless steel tanks. PCUs, originally designed to contain the algae, water and nutrients used in the photosynthesis of Greenhouse Gas to oxygen have numerous other uses. including the storage of drinking water, fuel, grain, food products, and other pourable liquids and solids at during disasters, military operations or other operations. Constructed of laminated Mylar-like material with carbon fiber and Kevlar structural support; they come on a variety of customized sizes and are reinforced with sonically welded seams.

HY-TEK Bio has pioneered the use of photosynthetic wavelength LED light to spur maximum use of light energy by the algae. We have matched LED intensity to the algae’s specific wavelength energy needs, and we have modulated our LEDs to match the algae’s “flash effect”. HY-TEK Bio has optimized LED lighting to pull minimal power, generate minimal heat, and extend maximum life. The lights can be used to accelerate plant growth, and for a variety of other uses.

In partnership with the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, HY-TEK Bio is developing a process to use chicken manure as an inexpensive, odorless and colorless liquid nutrient for its algae, which also reduces manure run-off into the Chesapeake Bay.
